1. Pre-Operation Inspection

Before starting the 2-ton electric forklift, check the battery charge level, tire pressure, and hydraulic fluid. Ensure the forks are clean and free of debris. In a food factory, hygiene is critical—wipe the forks with food-safe cleaner to avoid contamination. Verify that the load capacity label matches the 2-ton rating. Never exceed the rated capacity.

2. Approaching the Pallet

Drive slowly toward the pallet, keeping the forks at a height of 10–15 cm above the ground. Align the forks with the pallet openings. Use the steering wheel to make small adjustments. The forklift’s electric motor provides smooth acceleration, reducing jerky movements that could damage food packaging.

3. Lifting and Loading

Insert the forks fully into the pallet until the load rests against the backrest. Lift the pallet to a height of 20–30 cm for traveling. Tilt the mast slightly backward to stabilize the load. Check that the pallet is evenly distributed on the forks. For food products, avoid sudden tilts that may cause spillage.

4. Transporting the Load

Drive at a steady speed, keeping the load low to lower the center of gravity. In tight aisles, use the forklift’s tight turning radius—a key advantage of electric models. Sound the horn at intersections and blind corners. Always face the direction of travel. For food factory floors, avoid wet or greasy surfaces to prevent slipping.

5. Stacking and Unloading

Approach the racking area slowly. Raise the forks to the desired height, ensuring the pallet is level. Gently place the load by moving the mast forward. Lower the forks and pull out slowly. Never leave a load suspended. After unloading, retract the forks fully before moving away.

6. Post-Operation Shutdown

Park the forklift on level ground, lower the forks to the ground, and turn off the key. Charge the battery if needed. Report any unusual noises or leaks to the maintenance team. Regular daily checks extend the equipment’s life and ensure safety.

7. Safety Reminders

- Always wear proper PPE, including steel-toe boots and a high-visibility vest.

- Do not carry passengers.

- Keep hands and feet inside the forklift’s operator compartment.

- In food factories, follow strict hygiene protocols—disinfect the forklift weekly.
